Built for Young Athletes
The youth sports landscape has changed. Kids specialize earlier, play more games, and do less free play — which means they arrive at high school with high sport skill but poor movement foundations. Speed, coordination, and the ability to decelerate safely are disappearing.
Our youth program at G6 Performance Sacramento rebuilds that foundation. For ages 8–14, we focus on movement literacy: running, jumping, landing, cutting, and body control. We layer in age-appropriate strength with bodyweight progressions and light external load only when the athlete is ready.
This isn't a scaled-down adult program. It's a real youth development curriculum, coached by staff who know how to keep training fun, engaging, and safe.
The Youth Program
Speed & Coordination
Running mechanics, acceleration, and multi-directional movement taught through games and structured drills.
Jumping & Landing
Safe jumping and landing mechanics — foundational for every sport and the #1 injury-prevention skill a young athlete can build.
Agility & Body Control
Change of direction, balance, and spatial awareness. The athletic alphabet every multi-sport kid needs.
Age-Appropriate Strength
Bodyweight, medicine ball, and light-load strength introduced only when the athlete shows the movement quality to support it. Safe, progressive, and coached.
Multi-Sport Readiness
Training that benefits every sport — football, basketball, soccer, baseball, track, volleyball. Kids shouldn't specialize too early.
Fun, Engaged Coaching
Games, challenges, and competition built into every session. Kids work hard because they're having fun — not because they're told to.
