At G6 Performance Sacramento, speed training is its own discipline. We coach sprint mechanics directly, program acceleration and top-end speed on separate days, and measure every rep with laser timers so progress is real, not imagined.

The Speed Program

Sprint Mechanics

Arm action, posture, leg cycling, and ground contact coached at full speed. Most athletes have never been taught how to sprint.

Acceleration (0–20 yards)

The phase that wins football, basketball, and soccer battles. Start position, push angles, and force production programmed specifically.

Top-End Speed (20+ yards)

Max velocity sprinting — the phase that wins 40s, 60s, and 100m dashes. Technique first, volume and load second.

Force Production Strength

Speed is applied force. Squat, deadlift, and hip thrust programming that directly powers faster sprints.

Change of Direction & Agility

Reactive agility, deceleration, and cutting mechanics. The applied game-speed work that generic ladder drills can't touch.

Group & Team Speed

Speed training for teams, clubs, and training partners. Group settings build competition — faster training, faster athletes.
